Bent Into Shape.

Bentwood Thonet-inspired cafe chairs seem to be everywhere I look. From Domino to Living Etc magazines, to Holly’s good suggestion of a yellow one on decor8, to a flickr bentwood rocker from nomm de photo and finally to Ikea’s Ölga for just $30. At that price, you can buy a bunch and paint them any color you like.

I had picked up all four of mine on craigslist for $25, but only as what I thought to be ‘interim’ chairs until I found my tulips! But now, I’m seeing their potential everywhere and will keep them as extra seating. I like the kind of French Bohemian, seventies vibe they have going on, now that I have been shown the light.

Light Headed.

I’ve taken a few days of from work to catch up on some home projects (yes more,
and I think the pink wall is coming!!). So I apologize for the light posts. I’ll be
posting more later this afternoon and over the weekend. It’s Friday y’all!!

A Shop Grows In Brooklyn.

Lotta Jansdotter is opening up her studio in Brooklyn for Saturday afternoon visits. And if you’re not fortunate to be able to visit Lotta’s New York studio in person (like we used to able to do when she was based here in San Francisco) you can still shop her beautiful work online.

Lotta and her lovely Brooklyn home are also featured in this month’s Blueprint magazine. We miss you here in SF, Lotta, but are so happy to see you thriving in NYC! And congratulations on the bambino!

I’m so excited!

Domino magazine has featured me on their home page – well, at least
some of the time – they alternate with Oscar de la Renta and his garden
(which is not bad company!). I entered their decorating contest, and they featured the
photo I submitted on their site today. The prize would mean a lot for me, so I’ll remind
you when voting begins October 23rd, and perhaps you’ll consider giving me your vote.
