Sunday in the City.

As is my usual practice, the first Sunday of the month, I found myself at the Alameda Flea Market. Five hours later, and few dollars less flush, I came away with some fun finds. A wonderful wee globe, a beautiful old gray bauer bowl, and some perfectly sized end tables for my balcony, not to mention, some fun photos. I felt that familiar rush I get from a great day at my favorite flea market. Here’s a peek at my day at Alameda. Oh, and I have some family business to take care of the rest of the day, so i’ll see you back here on tuesday.

Wow….great finds, Victoria! I love your photography, too. I wanted to let you know that I received my first issue of Better Homes I DIY magazine and saw your interview. Your home is beautiful and I enjoyed learning more about you. :) My 20 year old daughter fell in love with your bedroom. Have a great week!

Ohh, I always wanted to make it to the Alameda Flea Market when I lived in the Bay Area. I’ll have to sneak it in the next time I visit family in the area. Congrats on a successful flea market trip!

    Victoria,

So while you were at Alameda, the rest of us slow-poke homebodies were reading about YOU in the NY Times. As soon as I saw the poster I thoiught, ‘This is Victoria’s Keep Calm…” Wow! That really is getting mentioned in high circles. Congrats on a continually amazing blog. Love you photos especially on Sundays!

joan – oh, thank you! that is so nice of you. it was nice to be featured, and i was so flattered. i hope that readers will be able to find the article, since it didn’t mention sfgirlbybay by name. but i do appreciate the mention of my ‘real’ name, and the posters.

    Victoria,
Here’s the link from the story in which you are mentioned.

You have to be signed up with the NYTimes to access the story. But you will recognize the art immediately.
