My downtown.

Erin, of the lovely blog reading my tea leaves has launched a new series called ‘Your Downtown’, which I shared with you quite recently.  erin wanted to include other bloggers on reading my tea leaves, and I think that this is quite a fun way to do it. it’s an extension of the series Erin created called ‘My Downtown’, only this version will include photos of other bloggers’ downtowns, instead of Erin’s very own. She invited me to join in, so take a look at her post today on my very own downtown Chinatown. Thanks for including me Erin, and to see more Downtown’s – click here.

San Francisco’s China Town is a really interesting place, it always looks like it stood in time, around mid 50s to 60s. While the whole China is moving in lighting speed, I love how SFCT always preserve that stillness.

Especially as a Chinese, I always feel like I’ve traveled back in time.

I think you captured the essence of SF China Town in such a charming way! I’ve been here for one year now and have enjoyed it so much. I’ve lived in quite a few different cities in my life so Reading My Tea Leaves is really fun for me! Can’t wait to see more posts on it!

I’ve always loved both of those signs but have never had much luck photographing them, so thanks for that! I went to grade school at Spring Valley in Chinatown and I’m pretty sure my saddle shoes came from Kaye’s.
