corners of your home.

the best decor is usually all in the small details. the corners of your home are just as, if not more important, than the big picture. a lot of readers ask me how to display collections without looking too cluttered. i tend to think collections look best when grouped together with other ‘like objects’ – for example, all your white pottery together, framed family photos, even your kitschy ceramics – place them in one simple grouping, and voilá, instant stylish simplicity. in fact, i love just simple adornments here and there — standing out all on their very own. here’s a look at what i mean via flickr groups, adornable and sfgirlbybay.

Thanks for including my photo V!
that dish collection on the wall with words printed on their surface is really cool. what a great idea!! and likely easy to do.
Corners are a great way to show off a collection, and these are divine!
beautiful pics and i couldn’t agree more about the little things in spaces making them personal…
I love this collection of photography…wow, wow, wow! xo t
This is a great collection. There are so many talented photographers out there – and the displays are equally gorgeous. I think it’s very important that we blog things like these; just ordinary people’s homes instead of the super-styled interiors (although we love those, too…)
