blissful inspiration

Brace yourself friends — this is a lengthy one.  For those of you who don’t know me, I have a thing for taking pictures.  I especially love taking pictures of pretty bowls full of pretty things.  I am also drawn to photographs of bowls taken by others.  To me, it is sweet that something so simple can be so beautiful.  Which is particularly important to a photographer like me; I believe, that often times my greatest hurdle is over thinking — a lovely bowl and a camera is all one needs to create a masterpiece.

I hope this post inspires you to do just that — grab a camera (preferably your own), a bowl, something interesting and snap away.  Link to your bowl shots, I would love to see what you come up with.  Until next week — xo mrs. french

I love them empty, I love them filled, I love them dirty, and love them clean, too.

I adore the first one! It’s so barren…yet so bright! I just realized I have the same Polaroid you have featured in your header. :)

This reaffirms the truth behind designs. The best inspirations usually come from things right beside us.

While I have lots of decorative bowls in my house, it never dawned on me to photograph them. This one I grabbed after reading this post:

I have a favorite wooden bowl that I think I photograph too often – can one have too many wooden bowl photographs though? :)

Your post was so inspiring that I started visiting all the bowls in my home. Started with my favorite, the map bowl. http://kimtb.wordpress.com/2009/09/13/bowled-over/
