blissful inspiration

Brace yourself friends — this is a lengthy one.  For those of you who don’t know me, I have a thing for taking pictures.  I especially love taking pictures of pretty bowls full of pretty things.  I am also drawn to photographs of bowls taken by others.  To me, it is sweet that something so simple can be so beautiful.  Which is particularly important to a photographer like me; I believe, that often times my greatest hurdle is over thinking — a lovely bowl and a camera is all one needs to create a masterpiece.

I hope this post inspires you to do just that — grab a camera (preferably your own), a bowl, something interesting and snap away.  Link to your bowl shots, I would love to see what you come up with.  Until next week — xo mrs. french

I love bowls too. I also love Thai and Balinese flower bowls that they put infront of their doors, full of different Frangipanies. I posted one of them on my blog http://fensismensi.blog.siol.net/files/2009/06/img_4799.jpg

I took some photos of homemade mayonnaise yesterday- it was so beautiful! What an amazing color of olivey yellow. But nothing can compete with a bowl full of flowers floating in water.

I adore the first one! It’s so barren…yet so bright! I just realized I have the same Polaroid you have featured in your header. :)

This reaffirms the truth behind designs. The best inspirations usually come from things right beside us.

Here’s a bowl shot I took earlier this summer. I have the flu or I’d take a new bowl picture for you.
