sunday in the city.
san francisco is generally known to be a pretty colorful city. from the outrageous and charismatic characters that live here, to all the pretty green parks and it’s ‘painted ladies‘ (the old Victorians) — even the shops and storefronts generally have some bright colors going on. i, on the other hand have to admit to being down & dreary this weekend. it’s the two year anniversary of my beloved dog cooper’s passing, and i still miss that beautiful furry beast every darn day. so today i thought i’d try and find some colorful images of our city’s crazy architecture to help cheer things up. i hope you enjoy it.

beautiful images. Love the ‘bridge’ sign.
Thanks for using my photo on Friday’s post.
Have a great week!
so colorful! must be a beautiful city.
i’m tearing up here. coop was beautiful victoria. i say hello everyday to our big old boy chase who we lost last june. he was twelve, we only had him for 4 years, i wish we’d known him longer.

These photos are awesome. I’m sorry about Cooper. I know how you feel. I just lost my 15-year-old dog, Lucky, last month.
Ahhhh – I lived in San Francisco many years ago and miss it so much to this day. Time for another visit, methinks. Thanks for reminding me what a great city it is.
oh, thank you so much for the cheery colors. i needed them too, as yesterday was the 1 year anniversary of my beloved cat gus’s passing. it gets easier, but it still hurts, doesn’t it? take care.
LOVE all the bright color!! so cheerful!
you’re photography inspires me to take more (& hopefully someday, better) pictures. the colours are amazing!
oops, hi victoria, i didn’t mean to write my email in the name field (rookie commenter) are you able to delete it or change it to just say Room6? i don’t need any more spam in my life…thanks!
All fixed Room6!
Glad you all like the picks – kind cherry since it’s raing again!
i absolutely LOVE the colors in these pix!
nice nice pics victoria – which do i like best? the orange garage door? (the top left corner is a picture in itself so luscious), the rhino or the striated canna leaves? just as i downloaded this post my little buddy came along to sit on the sofa. i swear he is the reincarnation of my first cat, jimmy. sometimes the only cure is a new animal. sorry tho’, about your cooper. when they go they leave a terrible hole.
Just discovered your blog and I love it! Adding it to my blog reader right now! :-)
beautiful photos….love the “boheme” one!
