a bit of an announcement.

hiya readers. so, as some of you may know, my father has Parkinson’s disease and has not been doing as well as we might have hoped lately, which means i need to jump in and help with his care from time to time. this is not exactly creatively inspiring, and is somewhat exhausting, but we’re all doing our best and my family has been great.
so it came to my attention last night, that my head was doing a little exploding, and it might be time for a little s.o.s. call. so i rounded up some of our blogger troops and will be having some guests posts drop in now and then to provide me with some back-up. i just wanted to let you know, so you were aware of what was going on. i will still be here everyday, (or almost everyday unless there is an emergency to tend to), but definitely blogging away as per usual. i just felt i needed a little help, and not a one of these kind and amazing people turned me down. you guys rock. so enjoy the ‘viva la difference’ and what they have to add to sfgirlbybay, and remember — i’m not going anywhere. and, if you have anything you want to contribute, drop me a line. thanks one and all, for all your continued support in a bit of a tough time. i do adore and appreciate you all. love, v.

Dear Victoria, I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I understand that is really hard to experience these sort of things, and it is important to remember to also take care of yourself. I wish everything good for you and your family.
Good for you for helping out.. that’s wonderful!! Sending positive thoughts to your family!
What you ‘re doing is great! Not many people can say that for their children. And giving love is much better than any possible treatment. My best wishes to you and your family.
My heart is with you dear Victoria.
I’m so sorry your dad isn’t doing well, Victoria. Just know that you have many who are thinking of you and your family.
Blessings to you and strength as you care for your family.

Take sometime for yourself, we will all be here awaiting your return. Hugs and Kisses for you and your family at this time.
Hang in there Victoria, I’m sending good thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
We don’t know each other personally, but I want you to know how much I LOVE reading your blog. It’s so inspiring!
I’m so so sorry about your dad. I just went through taking care of my mom with cancer and I know first hand what it’s like to try to work, take care of someone and have any energy left.
These kinds of situations make you stronger and you’ll be surprised at how much you can handle. I will say a prayer for you today. :)

Victoria-Thinking of you and sending you some extra strength. I am sorry to hear your Dad isn’t doing that well. I just got back from the NY Marathon where Team Fox had 220 runners that raised over $600,000 for Parkinson’s research. I am convinced they will find a cure. Thanks again for your help in my fundraising of over $4,000. Remember to take care of you!!! Susie
I’m sending good thoughts and energy all day, everyday, to you and your Dad, Victoria… xoxoxoxo
sending lots of good thoughts and warm hugs your way.
I will still be reading regularly!
Wow -thanks you guys for all the supportive and kind messages. I was just feeling a little overwhelmed and didn’t want to disappoint you guys with dull little stories, so just called in for some great back-up!
I’ll still be here everyday – no worries!!!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your father. I’m sending you a big *HUG* and hope that you get some time to take of yourself too.
