[ guest post: jo from desire to inspire. ]

The stellar designers stay in our minds. The names, the signature style, the “it” look. I have had many designer crushes. These days though, after almost three years with Desire to Inspire, I have come to truly admire, to look up to and seek inspiration from my new main squeezes. I’m batting for the other team … the photographers. Edmund Sumner grew up with architects and designers. Edmund Sumner is a photographer, an extraordinary one. There is so much to devour on his website but I have decided to share just one home he has captured through his lens. It’s an artist’s residence in Japan. Simple perfection and simply perfect photos. Enjoy.

Hi, great photos. Can you tell me where the armless chairs with the kitchen table are from, they’re beautiful.
Sorry Jess, not sure, because it’s the photographer’s home. You might try checking the link to his site.

what BEAUTIFUL photos! i really love the fit of modern 1950s design with a kind rusticated feel.
