blissful inspiration

good morning dear sfgirlbybayers!  i have missed you all and am so happy to be back!  i am cold.  i live in a house with very little insulation and it is cold here in portland and i have a husband that likes to keep the thermostat low.  there is a lot of back-and-forth going on; me turning it up, him turning it way down.  I am all about woolen wares right now.  it’s what gets me through.  somehow i find warmth in pretty photographs of snugly wools, hope you do too.

Bet it’s colder here, 5 degrees when we got up!

  2. Funny. Hubs and I play the same game! I want to recreate the Jennifer Causey image in a little nook in my home. Darling!

I’m in Portland, too. And all I can think about is the cold. Hats, sweaters, scarfs. I hadn’t thought sheep, but they’re surprisingly fuzzy and warm-looking too. Thanks for cozy pictures on an icy day.

ha, my husband and i go through the same thing. he runs hot, i run cold! it’s so all about the wool right now in portland. it’s been really chilly these past couple of days. i love these photos t.!

  8. I love this post. It’s a bit cold here today and foggy. This helped quite a lot.

O my gosh! I want to go wrap a toy sheep in yarn now! A lovely selection as always. I love the mood over here :)

My heat pump is running right now-warming up the house because this is the time of day I get home from work. We turn the heat down when we are not home and warm it up a little when we are. I love the sheep wrapped in yarn, that is so cute. I am knitting a throw as a gift for a friend and I love to drape it over myself while I work on it.

  11. what a lovely warm post. thank you for sharing this

  12. So cosy and beautiful my friend….both of those sweet sheep got me. :) Love warm woolies….and it is indeed getting colder!

What wonderful woolen eye candy. :-)

I have the same problems with the heater & the hubby. We just moved into a new place and the thermostat does not work so we are forever getting up to either turn it on or off. I am afraid to even guess what our bill is going to look like next month.

Such a nice, cozy theme. The power of images – I do think it warmed me up, too.

  15. Thank you for the inclusion mrs french… i definitely felt the warmth too… we also have a house with ruubbbbbiish insulation so most evenings recently i’ve had my big-man-dressing-gown on(with a hood) over the top of all my clothes! I invested in a ridiculously thick duvet last month – prob the best ever purchase since living at this house!

    cheers
