uest post: portraits to fall in love with.
hello there lovely people, it’s ash here, from onebluewren. so nice to be here!
something that has been growing in me for while now, is a passion for portrait photography. for so long, my lens has been focused on the world around me, on capturing moments in time, places, light, lines and shapes. but these days, i find myself more drawn to the faces in the world around me, and capturing them is something I’d like to learn and practice so much more than i do now. there’s so much power in a good portrait.
and in the spirit of keeping polaroid film alive, here is a collection of polaroid portraits i’ve fallen in love with lately…and, animals totally count right?

These are really nice, very good portraits, I especially like Erica, because it feels like the girl is framing the cat, just the nice colour contrast between her shirt and his fur. Really like the soft coulours and feeling in all of them…
These are all captivating for their own reasons, They portray such feeling with the eyes and nonchalance of expression… portraits have spirit and a story, and I often wonder about the people in them…

those are amazing portraits. i think capturing people is one of the hardest things ever i often feel like i’m chickening out with my focus on still-life. but maybe it’s something that has to grow, too, like you say.
