blissful inspiration

good morning sfgirlbay readers!  i have always loved red.  so much so that i went through a phase that no matter where i lived i tried to insert a red wall.  to be honest, this got to be too much.  i actually got to a point where i began to avoid my beloved color.  however, i never stopped loving it completely. slowly i have been reintroducing into my life.  this home is partially to blame.  i began to see that just the right amount of red is perfection.  these photographs are perfect examples of that…

  1. the first thing I’m going to do when we buy a house is install/paint a red front door. I’ve been planning this for YEARS

you may already know this, but flickr has a “Red” group where any picture you take, it must feature the color Red. :) i joined it a while back, and am constantly amazed at how people interpret red, how red is used in the extraordinary and the mundane, and how red just pops out like a bright lovely beacon.

  3. Yes!..a spot of red is all we need to make it through the day. It is the color of health and happiness.

Aw… my favorite color. I walked passed some red balloons tangled in the telephone wires in front of a beautiful blue Victorian in the Castro the other day… sadly when I pulled my camera out of my bag the little battery went dead. Thanks for posting another red balloon, it makes me happy. :)
