blissful inspiration
when i look nowadays i see gray. i live in beautiful portland, oregon so it is common to see drab skies this time of years. however, leave it to talented photographers to transport me to beautiful blue skies, with white, puffy clouds. i’ll admit it, this post is for purely selfish reasons. i miss brighter, more interesting skies.
i hope you find your skies inspiring today. xo mrs. french

I love taking photos of the sky, whether it’s clouds or the sun, or just plain blue. I love all the different types of photos you picked here. Such an inspiration.
Wow! I love these photos. I wish that SF would start having pretty skys again. I miss the blue sky and sun
ahh… the gray skies are headed back to LA too but these pics made me forget that for just a wee bit! xoxo
So peaceful….Love it!
the april cakes photo, the cotton candy photo, and the girl lying on the ground photo…those are definitely going into my fave inspiration folder. absolutely lovely. by the way, despite the brighter skies here in Los Angeles, i envy you your life in Portland. i’d LOVE to move up there.
All beautiful. It’s actually sunny here today, but in general we have had a very gray/cold winter. Blue skies really do wonders in cheering me up this time of year.
I love these, just the inspiration i needed on this gray day. so glad I found your blog, just beautiful!
I’m soooo sick of the gray and rain. It’s good to see some virtual sun.
the nikki jane pic was my fave.
thanks mrs. french!
simply lovely!!! I especially love the one with the girl laying on the ground and the reflection of the sky in the puddle next to her. very inspiring!
thanks for sharing.
Lovely images! Thanks for sharing!
I’m on the coast of Oregon, and I don’t think we EVER see skies like these. Love, love. Thank you for the blue sky–I needed it. (as I look out my window and realize my entire house is enveloped in a rain cloud!)
beautiful images. I have a thing for laying down outside and just looking up at the sky. I always thought if I were a real good photographer this would make for a great coffee table book. go all over the US or world and take pictures of the sky and the objects that obscure it.
ahh, it’s gray and rainy here, too! lovely photos, now i can’t wait for the sun to come out to i can take some of my own. :)
i’m so tired of the grey…thank you for some blue.
Wow! Really taken my breath away! Thank you. What a wonderful privilege to see and appreciate beauty!! I’m sitting writing from my new found garden and a pair of brightly coloured sugar birds are singing in the treetops
The fourth photo is amazing. It’s like taking a glimpse of the universe out there.
I am blessed to live in Cape Town, South Africa, voted one of the 5 bluest sky destinations in the world. Right now I am overlooking a deep blue ocean under a baby blue sky from my cottage amongst the bright green fynbos covered mountain.
Stunning…I love the photo with the cotton candy, beautiful colors. I needed to see this today since we’re in the midst of another snow storm. ugh, when will spring come? :)
oh goodness. gorgeousness to no end. love this, traci. and am totally honored to have my photograph in the mix. thank you so much! xo
Great pics! Living out in Los Angeles (formally from Oklahoma/Nebraska) I totally miss the beautiful sky! WAY to much smog here!
That Nikki Jane photo is amazing! I searched her to see if I could buy a print. And holy cow I can’t believe she is only 14!!
