Wish You Were Here. A Photographic Travelog from Piewacket.
This is Lara Rossignol from the blog, Piewacket and I am excited to be contributing to sfgirlbybay with a new monthly feature “Wish You Were Here” chronicling some of my travels and favorite places. I am a professional photographer who grew up in Los Angeles, lived in NYC for 16 years, and now resides in Atlanta. Visit me here each month, and one of the places we will hit first is a foodie wonderland called Star Provisions.

Located in the booming “Northside” area of the city, Star Provisions is an unusual mixture of gourmet market, bakery, coffee bar, retail shop and cafe. All set in front of one of Atlanta’s best 5-star restaurants, Bacchnalia. Created by Chef owners and partners, Anne Quatrano and Cliff Harrison who had the idea to offer for sale the same quality of ingredients and cookware they themselves use in their restaurants and home.
The butcher shop offers an amazing selection of meat and seafood as well as an array of seasonings and other hard to find accompaniments. They even cure there own salamis.

Next door is the cheese shop, a fromage lover’s dream.

In the bakery there is a wonderful selection of breads, cookies and cakes. My favorite, the brown sugar shortbread cookies.

In the main retail shop, a larger selection of housewares beautifully displayed that can keep you busy browsing for quite some time. They also have one entire wall devoted to Orla Kiely handbags and accessories!

In their cafe, they serve up excellent sandwiches (I love the shrimp po’boy & pulled pork on cheddar biscuit) and salads, or take home a chicken pot pie for dinner. There is also a nostalgic mix of candies and sundries from jelly beans to Mary Janes and the cupcakes are a must!

I stumbled upon Star Provisions when I was in Atlanta a few weeks ago! These pictures are as beautiful as (if not more than) the store itself…Such great finds here, and the roast beef sandwich was tops!

YUM. Now I’m hungry. Thank you for capturing the alluring beauty of Star Provisions. It is an ATL food treasure.
Beautiful. Star Provisions is a great addition to Atlanta’s food scene.
Oh I’m so excited you’re posting over here too!! Must admit I’m feeling a small amount of joy at having been the one to tell you (If memory serves correctly!) about Star Provisions. :o) :o) :o)
Gorgeous photos make me hungry! Last time I was in Atlanta it was for the Olympics, I can’t wait to go back and visit!
Wow, I want that cupcake.
Seriously? This you make into a post? Really? Shouldn’t these images be housed at the Smithsonian? I mean, my drool could ruin them! Though, from an editorial standpoint, Victoria, leaving out the details of the trip that we’re going to be making there together leaves the post feeling, um, well, incomplete. ;)
OMG! I will have SUCH sweet dreams tonight! And how! :)
gorgeous, really gorgeous, Lara Rossignol’s photography is outstanding. I’m so happy she’s gonna be contributing here on a monthly basis.
sfgirlbybay’s and piewacket are two of my favorite blogs.
Thanks for all the nice comments. I had so much fun shooting this story and look forward to doing more.
Some time before, I did need to buy a good house for my firm but I did not earn enough money and could not buy something. Thank God my comrade proposed to try to take the business loans from reliable creditors. Thence, I did so and used to be happy with my term loan.
