friday food files with molly watson: Superbowl Snacks.

I will not be watching the Superbowl on Sunday. Not even for the ads. I’ll be out enjoying the relative calm and quiet of the wide variety of public entertainments that are empty because everyone is home eating snack treats and watching a screen and cheering.

The snacky treats and beer, however, do sound good. I’ve pulled together a list of beer-friendly homemade treats for the occasion. My own favorites include sticky glazed ribs, homemade potato chips (although beet chips and sweet potato chips are tempting, too), and spicy seeded peanuts.

Superbowl Sunday is the best time to visit hardware stores too. Completely empty!
Great tip, Nikki – I’ll have to remember that one!
Yum- these are making me very hungry. I’m not a big football fan either but I think I’m going to a party because of the food!
So much to do over the Super Bowl! I personally, am not a fan myself. I did a blog about how to get ready, etc.. but I myself won’t be watching either! I love, love, the food pictures… can I have one of those ribs now?! What a great way to celebrate, just enjoying food and company.. and not worrying about the boob tube! Great post.
