p.s. i love you.

hi! wish you were here! i am in sunny palm springs, california, enjoying a mid-century modernist’s dream come true. i’m in town for modernism week, and visiting my friend casey’s incredible home, designed by architect william krisel. the home is located in the stylish racquet club estates community, an enclave of modernist homes like her krisel home, as well as architects meiselman and wexler. i’ve taken lots of pics, so i thought i’d share some of the amazing homes that i’ve seen, and some glimpses into casey’s interiors (as well as some groovy green shoes i picked up at a funky thrift store!).

Such beautiful pictures. I especially love the paintings. Do you happen to know who the artist is?
Beautiful. I think I could handle that type of landscaping. Minimalist? Looks managable!

Decadent. I’ll be over in 24 hours.

I dig the sculptural plants and painted portraits. Those shoes are slammin too.
Love, Love, Love… it is all too much (especially when my view is only of piles of snow.)Even though I am incredibly jealous, please keep them coming!
love it! amazing pics!!
You have the greatest eye for modern architecture and framing photos in a nostalgic way. I’m always impressed. I love seeing how you see the world. It might be time to put Palm Springs on my list of places to visit, wouldn’t you agree?
that was a big tease victoria! i want to see more!
How funny, I’m from the Palm Springs area and have never heard of Modernism Week. Sounds great! Your photos are great, you really found some great spots in Palm Springs. What thrift store did you get the shoes from?

Those shoes are ‘bannanas!’ as rachel zoe would say. please think about selling that print in your etsy shop – I would buy it in a heartbeat!
Looks like a great place to live! I love straight lines and simple, white architecture! :)
thanks all!! it’s been super swell here!
i got the shoes at a place called ‘resale therapy’ – a crazy little shop that could be its own reality show.
the portraits paintings are by an artist named James McAdory, scored by casey on ebay from a stack of canvases found in an attic.
LOVE THAT CAR!!!! broom broom!

Love it. Cute shoes!

I love the shade of green of that scarf that is draped over that chair. Perfect for the winter over dark coats and in the spring/summer nights over a white tee or tank. Lucky you to be in such gorgeous surroundings!

Great details, great pictures!
I think I like my houses a bit more vintage. But the shot of the car was superb!
I’m Casey’s cousin from Florida and I love the pictures you’ve taken of her house and architctural features-including your own features. I’m a custom home builder at the beach who loves details of homes where ever I go. Nice work.
Hey there! Did you happen to see any E. Stewart Williams’ homes? He’s my grandfather :) and was a brilliant architect. Woot!
