with the swirl of rumors in the air that ‘macaroons are the new cupcake‘, i’d like to take a moment to give the precious cupcake back a little of the much deserved dignity it has recently been sadly robbed of.

In all my life, I’ve never had a maccarroon, but I have had a cupcake. Maybe, I’m missing out on something, but I really love a good cupcake. In fact, I went with my roommate to a bridal show this weekend and I had the best cupcake of my life. It was a devil’s food cupcake with the lightest, fluffiest butter cream frosting. I will dream about those cupcakes.
I like to look at macaroons, but I don’t like to eat them. It’s cupcakes all the way for me!
A meringue is a fleeting moment of loveliness. A cupcake is a memory to be savored over and over.
gorgeous. last night i was looking forward to eating a carrot cupcake that I had been saving and I was crushed to find out my boyfriend already ate it. He claimed he thought I didn’t want it. Why would I not want a cupcake?!

cupcakes all the way. i tried making macaroons and failed miserably- yet never made a cupcake that wasn’t amazing! i still would like macaroon success though!

Have I already mentioned that I love cupcakes so much I made it my goal to find the best ones (cupcakes or muffins because there aren’t that many around here) in Helsinki? It’s not as easy as it sounds… it’s really not cupcake-land here :(
