    lol! lucky you, EB. :)

  5. Wow! Dude. I find stuff on the curb, but def. not stuff that’s that rad!! :) Jealous, too.

Oh my! I would love to make a find like that, I have a friend who once found two Arne Jakobsen chairs… so envious!

  7. Jo says:

thats a crime to put that on a curb…but not one to pick it up! what a score!

  8. Elissa says:

Thanks for featuring me, Victoria! Unfortunately I haven’t had a chance to repair/restore the chair at all, just gave it a good cleaning. If anyone knows a way to fix tears in vinyl, let me know!

Oh man! If I saw that on the curbside while driving, I’d probably seriously have a wreck trying to pull over to get it before anyone else did, it’s just fabulous!! Why would you throw something like that away?!

omigosh. I am not a fan of the ubiquitious Eames arm chair, but this one i am in love with!!! Is it also Eames? I love the color of the cushions too! I definately would have snagged this had I seen it. The curb has been good to me many times. Score!

  12. Abbey H says:

Total score! This is a George Mulhauser chair designed for plycraft. We bought ours several years ago and it’s super comfortable. :) Great find!

  13. WOW! what a find. that definitely warrants slamming on the breaks/pulling over/loading it into trunk. SWEET FIND, wish i was so lucky :)

Ahh! I can hear the tires screeching now! What a fantastic find! I believe I spy the matching ottoman behind it.

I’m a proud member of the trash pickers club, some of my favorite pieces were curb finds.

  15. Wow! Good find. We used to have “the pick” here in SF, remember? Then they did away with it. Gosh I found some good things back then. Not as good as the green chair she got though!

  16. Valeria says:

Wow, only to find that piece on the side of the road!

  17. Bethany says:

I cannot believe someone was throwing that chair out! They could get big bucks by selling it on Ebay. Totally fantastic find.

  18. Becca says:

LOVE this chair, love the green color. Every once in awhile a gem comes along.

  19. Charlotte says:

Oh wow – I am so jealous! We get loads of furniture left out on our road – but it is always manky bedframes and sofas with sunken seats! Plus it rains all the time here so anything I find is knackered by the time you get round to it.

So WHERE did you find that adorable dress!!! I may have totally missed the text on that one..but it is absolutely DOLL!!

  23. Years ago, I lived in Astoria, Queens, and I actually collected all these amazing chairs I found out at the curb on trash day. Stuff I couldn’t believe people were throwing away. The trash picking isn’t as good in Manhattan, unfortunately!
