vintage finds for a modern world: dreamy whites.

this week houzz had a really peaceful and pretty home featured — that of blogger maria of dreamy whites. living on a horse ranch in california, and a mother of five, maria really proves you can live with white! dreamy whites, indeed.

*sigh* so beautiful. Who knew a pile of linin could look so perfect.
Yes, definitely dreamy. I want to walk right into those images:)
Slightly worn white paint is my absolute favorite.
uuuhh…why haven’t i been visiting this space on a daily basis? (rapping my own knuckles. shame on me!)
These are all insanely gorgeous.
Normally I’m not one for the Shabby Chic look but I really like this. Looks cozy!
so dreamy!!
That bucket of purple above may provide the opposite effect of a dream catcher. Just be cautious when rocking the bed though; nobody likes a head bump from a pail of flowers.
Oh I love shabby chic! These are just gorgeous! I adore the chandelier and grandfather clock, just exquisite!
dreamy is right!! this is just beautiful! the clock, the bedding, the paint… absolute perfection! i need to go to this website now!! thanks for sharing.

i love that chandelier & the clock! white & wood are my absolute favorite :]
I never thought I was the shabby chic type but I love these!! Thanks for the inspiration!
love the cowboy hat table lamp – what a good idea.
I love the soft palette in these rooms. And the lilacs on top of the bed? That just seals the deal for me. I sort of want to run out now and just buy linens.
One of my favorite house tours yet. Awesome! Thanks for sharing! : )
I love the combo of white and green in the first pic, it’s so fresh and summery.
A very restful home indeed!
oh this is lovely! my place looks nothing like it, but i’m inspired by the fact that someone’s place does
your blog never fails to cheer, comfort, inspire and delight, Victoria
thanks
sooo beautiful
Such a great post and amazing photos! This is my all time favorite look, it instantly makes me happy :)
I love the vintage farmhouse feel these rooms give off. The introduction of some very classic elements, such as the white ceiling panels, paired with vintage elements, such as the worn wood chairs and a long white farmhouse style table, create a very harmonious duo of new and old. Although the bedroom space is beautiful as it is, I think it really could have benefited from some sort of artwork placed above the dresser to really add that extra point of interest to the space.
