friends & neighbors: swinging with the selby.
i saw this home of hotelier sean macpherson over on the selby, and thought, i’ll bet everyone fights to sit in the swing chair. it’s just so unexpected and juxtaposed with the rest of his eclectic and slightly eccentric furnishings. what fun to have a swing in your living room! as always, i do love interiors brought to us by the selby — for more, pop on over.
Swings indoors = fun. Whoever decided they should be outside just wasn’t right :)
Funny I was reading an article about Padma Lakshmi and she has a swing in her living room too. From what the article said it is fairly common in her culture.
That swing in the living room is so “gotta have that.” Who would have thought to put a swing in their living room? It’s so perfect, who wouldn’t want to sit in a swing and slowly swing away their troubles.

Oh, I’ve always loved the idea of an indoor swing chair! I don’t get to the playground often enough, but I’m one of those adults who still really loves the thrill of swinging in the air, it’s so much fun!
There’s so much I love about this room — the indoor swing obviously being at the top of my list. I think it’s a must. It just adds that touch of whimsy to the room.
