quite a lovely little gem.

today gemma correll tweeted that her dog had just peed on her drawing. i’m sorry, but that cracked me up for some reason, no doubt, adding a very special something to gemma’s charming illustration! gemma loves drawing, pugs and coffee. and i love gemma’s darling drawings. here’s a look at the sweet prints, totes, cards and pocket mirrors gemma has available in her etsy shop (and, i’m quite certain none of these have been peed on. that’s an additional charge).

Wow, so much cuteness! I especially love the ‘Bonjour’ and ‘Hola’ ones.

  8. Her visual language is extremely cute and funny, but also very clever and sensitive, which is a rare combination: I think it takes a whole lot of excercise to add the right accents – like the position and expression of the characters’ eyes and mouth, but also the dotted surface grids.

It’s all totally unique – and it looks pretty ridiculous when other illustrators try to copy her style :D (which too often happens by the way).
