mixed and matched.
y’all loved the images i shared last week from swedish photographer ulrica wihlborg, and so i thought you’d like another look at some beautiful interiors ulrica has shot. This home is owned by a wonderfully creative Swedish couple and their two children, and their taste is very simple and clean. They have managed to mix basic and very inexpensive pieces — for example, all the solid and striped pillow cases you see on the couches, the living room rug and chairs on the deck are from IKEA, and a few beautiful traditional furniture pieces come from Swedish company St. Barth’s Home.
the beautiful big green bed and the large green cabinet are all from St. Barth’s. The little hand-painted chair by the large green cabinet (above) was a freebie — the owner found it in next to the dumpster in her neighborhood and loved it so much she took it home. I love how clean and simple and serene this home is, yet so stylish.
the home is uncluttered, light and airy, with simple family photographs displayed on the mantles in the living room and in the main bedroom. The sheep skins are all from Huset, on the small Swedish island of Gotland and they’re made out of beloved family farm-raised sheep that lived long lives on meadows and died of natural causes. thanks again to photogpherra ulrica wihlborg for sharing such lovely interior inspiration!
