fab friday.

country cooking of france cookbook.

i’ve really been in the mood to experiment and try new recipes in the kitchen lately, and i’m finding this time of year excellent for produce at the farmer’s markets. so, this week’s fab friday finds are all about cooking up a storm! if you’re gonna do it, you should do it  with style.

retro orange tupperware measuring spoons, via recycle buy vintage; vintage potato masher, via le petite flea; anthropologie kid’s cupcake print apron; and eat, via old new again.

apron anxiety, a very witty blog from a girl named ALYSSA, trying to learn to cook while having a “RelationChef” with her chef boyfriend.

jamie oliver’s 20 minute meals iphone app.

paumes kitchen books, via yvestown; mister & mrs. shakers, via anthropologie; home canning tea towel, via girls can tell; and the felix platter, via french bull.

farmer’s market tote bag, via mélangerie.

apricot jalapeno jelly, via mirasol farm; west german dry measuring cup, via camp ho-ba-chee; Cathrineholm Yellow Gravy Pan, via Mountain Shadows Modern; and gourmet sea salts, via purpose design.

My husband’s family is from a small country town in France called Boege. We visit about every other year and are planning a trip back in June 2011. I hold dearly the recipes that I learned while visiting. His family has a small dairy farm so we are both spoiled with the best fromage, lait, and chocolat chaud … not to mention mounds and mounds of stinky stinky fromage. Stopping by your website is a real treat for me. Love this post!!! XO

I have that messbecher (measuring cup) from W. Germany! My parents are from WG, and my mom inherited my grandmother’s. She recently found the exact same model at an estate sale in Missouri. Small world.
