oh, bon jour!

oh, take my breath away, why don’t you? i was checking out the eye candy houses on light locations and came up with this one in nimes, france. i can imagine a month here, reading, cooking gourmet meals fresh from the farmers market, or, not doing one bloody thing at all. no computers, just fresh air and lots of open space. i go on holiday next week, and i think i’m really in vacation mode already!

This is lovely – my style, and nimes is 20 mins from where I live :)
All those accessories (chandeliers, lamps, birdcages) are killer! This is beautiful! Especially love the look of the blue ceiling – gorgeous! That’s actually funny because right now I’m preparing a post about ceilings painted with bright colors! nice post! xoxo
Wow, this is so shabby chic – but in a REALLY good way! I love everything in the place! And I am now officially addicted to large baskets for storage.
oh, I want to go back to France!
This is gorgeous!!
to.die.for. plus a bird cage!? heaven!
just gorgeous !!! mmmm vacation mode sounds great !) I might visit this pretty house & take pictures for you
IN LOVE!!
UnREAL. Truly. Not fair.
deb & sabine – are you trying to make us very, very jealous!? :)
nichole – where’s that paris retreat of ours? ;)
wow! breathtaking ♥
Mmmmh… I love those whites. Thanks!
this whole place looks like driftwood. i love it!
No, not trying to make you jealous, promise! I think I recognise this now, I’ve seen it in a mag. I think it belongs to Josephine Ryan, an antiques dealer based in London, whose written some great French-look home design books (http://www.amazon.fr/French-Home-Josephine-Ryan/dp/1845974492). She has a lovely shop in London too. If you like this place, you’ll probably also love this wonderful house where we go on holiday sometimes (out of season!!!) it’s been in lots of French mags and it’s heaven!
http://www.location-en-luberon.com/sejour.htm I’ve put a few pics on Flickr
enjoy!
I want to be there. Looks like such a relaxing, wonderful environment!
Oh my, can I come with you? This looks splendid – I need a vacation terribly!
yeah I reckon I could spend a week or two there… flipping heck love it all down to the radiators!
*swoon* I might have to go here for holiday after you…. I can see myself getting sooooo inspired here and filling up sketch book after sketchbook, re-discovering my love of pen & paper!
sigh.
Lovely. It reminds me of the B&B I stayed in while visiting St. Aubine sur Mer. The nook and cranny kitchen, the kitchen table, wonderful.
so so so stunning!
HO LA LA! très très jolie (very very beautiful) the entire concept is perfect, the colors, the light..no words.
This is so amazing!!! Can I go live there please! :)
adorable… theres something about white walls that is so amazing! wish i could live here!
love these pics! you had me at the first scrolls on the first photo!
Oh wow it’s beautiful :D
Very, very, lovely!
I just love the blue ceilings! How adventurous. French homes always have such character.
Great blog!

swoooooooooooooooooon!!!
♥
I love all the white. I think any other color would’ve made the low ceilings feel crazy close, but the white opens it up in a way that makes it look rustic and cozy
This is such a great space. I love the blue on the ceiling. Very neat to see what they did with it.
Simply love this space, each detail. It’s such a calm and beautiful place to be. Thank you so much for your post! (Btw. I’m a big fan of your blog ;)
Cheers, I.
If you don’t mind my asking, how are you saving the Light Location pictures? I might just be having a brain fart right now, but I’m unable to do it :{
