alison from teenangster is bringing you another fun post! All cats, all the time.

I never used to be a cat person: I was raised to be a wet nose squishing, puppy yawn breathing dog lover. My only familiarity with cats was chasing the feral kittens hiding in my grandma’s barn (I don’t remember ever catching one, though there is a yellowed photo of me in a tiny coat clutching a horrified kitten to my chest). Dream Cats made me a believer in the elegant allure of kitties: the arched backs, knowing stares, squished faces (enh!), and imagined tiny mews made my heart go pitter pat. Described as “girls & cats, cats in soft focus, cats on film, dream cats,” these artfully photographed felines — curated by the always awesome Anabela of fieldguided and Erin of atlantic treefox — show cats for their prowess, poetic quiet and general badassery. I’ve now got two little dream kitties of my own to snuggle and I couldn’t be happier.

Loved this…ciao-meow

Argh, cats make me so happy! Even snooty ones who don’t like to be touched are pretty good. Don’t really understand dog people. Love this post, thank you so much!
That 4th pic is quite evocative of Sylvia Plath.
eee love this post! i have always been a cat person – i was heartbroken for years as a kid because my mom hated them and wouldn’t let me get one. now i have two lovely kitty friends (who are currently chasing each other around my apartment…) :)
Oh! I love these photos… I grew up with both dogs and cats. Love them both. (Although I might prefer looking at them and hanging out with them once in a while to actually having to take care of them…)
thanks for laugh, i love the cat sitting on the oven door! and that last kitty reminds me of my late cat brandy (my childhood buddy).
i’m sure i was born a cat person. my dad claims my first word was either “kitty” or “meow” – he can’t remember which i said first. :)
Your two little kitty kats are soooo cute and even a painter could not have given them such beautiful markings :) Love your blog!!
I just laughed aloud when I saw the one of the kitten dangling from a curtain. Cats are entertaining creatures.
