not just for weddings anymore.

pom pom vines.

i’ve become kind of addicted to once wed. i seriously cannot get over the creativity and thoughtfulness that goes into some of the weddings they showcase. almost makes me want to plan a wedding (oh, snap, i gotta find that boyfriend, first!). anyhow, i digress. i couldn’t help but share some of the beautiful table arrangements and party decor diy ideas i’ve soaked up from once wed. yes, indeed, i do!

flower seeds as party favors.

paper parasols and lanterns from chinatown make great party decorations.

doilies make lovely serving tray liners, and lace is great photo backdrop for any occasion.

lighted paper pennants.

i love these bulbs strung in the trees, decorating an outdoor dinner party.

pancake breakfast seating flags.

re-purposed jelly jars.

fabric flower garland.

fresh daisy and gingham garland.

love these turquoise blue mason jars filled with fresh wild flowers.

sand votives makes a simple table setting, and adorable chopstick napkin place settings.

diy taco truck fiesta.

this rock candy garland is sheer brilliance.

what a fun dinner party menu wheel!

mason jar chandelier and pretty paper garlands.

Once Wed is just an overload of all things pretty. Usually I don’t “do” wedding sites, mainly because I don’t want to freak my boyfriend out. But I gave into Once Wed — I mean, how could I not?

they are by far my favorite wedding website. there’s something so elegant yet cozy about all the weddings they share.

  4. Was just looking at that bottom fringe photo at Ashley Meaders site (which is a total time suck for me these days…)

I love this post! Like you, I need the boyfriend before I can start planning the wedding – dammit, but that doesn’t stop me delighting in some of these ideas :-)

I love once wed, too, it continually inspires me, especially with their styling ideas!

If Once Wed was a place and I could live there, I’d move tomorrow.

That chandelier is amazing! I’d quite like it in a big country style kitchen.

How could anyone not love Once Wed? I think I browsed through at least a hundred weddings while I was planning mine, and I still keep going back to read/be inspired.

I too am a Once Wed stalker…with no wedding bells in the near future! I’m long wed and my daughters are only teenagers… However I like to borrow the ideas for birthday celebrations, tablescapes and decorating.

  18. Gillian says:

B-b-but it doesn’t have to be for a wedding. Get together some friends and just have a garland-clad party. Doesn’t matter why. Weddings are stressy. Parties are fun.

  19. Sanda says:

I love you blog and I love every single post you do…and this one…well…it makes me want to get married again :-)

I am OBSESSED with Once Wed, and I’m not even engaged either! I love that place like you wouldn’t believe. I guess I’m sorta close to being engaged (I would like to think, after 6 years of dating!) but we still have a few years to go. I look at this site everyday, which is probably dangerous seeing that by the time he proposes I’ll already have our wedding planned! :)

  21. Emma says:

I’m already planning my second wedding (to the same man, of course!). There are just too many beautiful things I would like to try!

  22. Some of these ideas are so perfect for our upcoming wedding. Thanks for posting. :)

  23. jen says:

I was definitely a once wed fan before I was engaged, even more of a fan now that I am engaged, and still plan to be one after the wedding {you can totally get inspired for a great party too}! Except I should maybe stop right now because I keep getting so many good ideas, and I can’t choose! But I won’t…:)
