vintage finds for a modern world: no wire hangers!

i love design boom, and they never fail to share with their readers some wonderfully imaginative designs from around the world. abitudini is a series of coat hangers designed by antonello fusè created from re-purposed chair backs. fusè transforms vintage chairs by adding a wire hanger on top of the chair back transforming it into a simple coat hanger. you can find them at resign. brings all new meaning to no wire hangers!

How completely fantastic! I love them!
super cool!
ha this is so pretty!
conceptually a cool idea, but many of those aren’t suitable for clothing; we’re talking serious shoulder bumpage
I love this idea. I buy all of my hangers second hand and prefer those made of natural material. My favorite are old Dry Cleaning hangers with the old advertising on them, especially ones from the Bay Area.
carlene – i would agree, but i think it may be more of an artistic statement than meant for taking care of your garments. i just thought it was an interesting idea for re-purposing old chairs! :)
And this will be the most amazing thing I will see all day (perhaps all week). Thank you.
Oh my gosh SO wonderful! Thanks for sharing–such a fabulous idea!
Fabulous!! so creative! :)
These are awesome! I hate using wire hangers and my boyfriend always makes fun of me for it. But these are *so cool*!
Seriously stunning. What a genius idea! xo
These are so cool! Never would have thought of it, but I love this concept!
