there’s a new app in town, and it’s a really, really pretty one! it’s also quite personal, too! the new Cartolina iPhone app from British Columbia-based graphic designer Fiona Richards enables you to send brief but beautiful messages to your friends and family. A ‘Cartogram’ is the lovely alternative to a boring old email or text — you just choose from the selection of cartolina designs, customize your message and send.
The Cartolina app supports multiple languages (ouí!), allows you to send to multiple recipients (hi, gang!) and includes a handy-dandy customizable calendar. and automatic reminders from the calendar mean you never need send a belated birthday greeting again! for a complete rundown on how it all works, click here.

Oooh, yet another reason why I need an iphone. Those are so gorgeous, I think if I received one I’d want to print it out and hang it on my wall!
I love it! Except that now I’m going to have to do that 4.0 software update I’ve been avoiding. A slower phone may be worth it though : )

Hi Saki – we are hoping that the Cartolina app will be available for the iPad in November. The Apple software keeps changing – we are excited about the possibilities!
Hi Stacey – at the moment we do have plans to convert the app to the Droid platform though it will take a few weeks – hope you can wait!
