tuesday’s girl: quite the impressionist.

there was quite the luscious and vintage-inspired fashion spread in 7×7 magazine’s September issue, which was shot in san francisco’s Golden Gate Park, near prop stylist Rosy Friedman’s Lower Haight apartment. so surreal and fantastic looking, much like an impressionist painting.

in using the concept of the impressionist movement, the photo crew decided to keep the focus on beautiful natural light, which is very indicative of photographer, Rus Anson’s work, and wardrobe stylist Sharon Maloney‘s collaborations as visionaries and story tellers. i love these dreamlike images, and thought you might like to daydream with them for a while, too. for more from the shoot, and a behind the scenes video, visit 7×7.

  1. Wow, considering how unbelievably hot and dry it still is here in the desert, this shoot is a breath of fresh, well, foliage! LOVE it.

Awesome shoot the red dress looks identical, well minus the belt and gloves to what Blair wore last night on Gossip Girls.

Such beautiful dreamy images! I love these kinds of fashion photos, but they always lead me to thinking about how many hours went into styling the shots and just how unglamorous it probably was to get everything to the shoot! Totally worth it! And rewarding work for the stylist!

beautiful shots but i couldn’t help but think (as someone who works in the lower haight) of all the bedbuggy like creatures hiding in the park! they did a phenomenal job of making it look lush and gorgeous!! :)
