How exciting! Hats off to all those ladies….so feminine and so strong too!
I sleep on my back and stay outta the sun :)
sunscreen, plenty of water and a homemade rub of olive oil and sugar…makes my skin feel divine {and it’s cheap!}.
A good attitude!
LOTS OF WATER. Only wash your hair every other day. And never pick at your face. :)
What stunning women! Beauty unbound . . . .
I take full responsibility for everything in my life. I am grateful for everything and breathe into presence as much as possible. I drink lots of water, I sleep deeply, I slow down, I consume less, I love, I love, I love and I am loved.
NOT smoking, lots of water, and good genes (thanks Mom!!)
my beauty secret..
good night’s sleep..warm hugs..big smiles…
and God in my heart…
All of these women are so stunningly beautiful… Love Sophia!
I try to get lots of sleep, and drink lots of water.
lots of rest, moisturizer with spf 30 and lots of hot tea!
wow…what a nice round-up of glamorous ladies *sigh*
My beauty secret: wash my face in the morning with cold water – you can’t never go wrong with a little blush :)
my beauty secret…a SMILE! what could be more beautiful?
also, a little diorshow mascara doesn’t hurt from time to time ;)
A good night’s sleep each night and lots of water throughout the day!
My secret? I’m pale and live in Texas, so it’s definitely sunscreen!
Oh my, you really did it this time! These women are beyond beautiful… they were magnificent in their times, and still are… which is the proof for their legacy through the years. My sweet Twiggy inspired my name :) Have a sweet day, Victoria!
Though I wish my skin were like Grace Kelly’s, mine stays healthy enough by drinking *lots* of water and green tea (a few cups each morning) and always wearing sunscreen!
Enough sleep and Dr. Bronners magic soap! Also, adventure–makes you feel like a million bucks.
My beauty secrets would be daily excercise, healthy, fresh food ,a good face lotion and lots of sleep.I also just had my eyebrows waxed and wish I’d done it sooner.
Thanks for the generous giveaway!
Like everyone else, I drink lots of water and smile :)
Lots of sleep, a little coffee, lots of fresh air and a smile. I have bad acne scares from my teenage years but my friends think I have beautiful skin. Maybe it’s because I accept who I am and don’t try to change it. My skin may be marked but it just tells the story of my life. It’s like my autobiography and reminds me that if everyone were the same the world would be a boring place. Thanks for a great blog. xx
I drink lots of water, get plenty of sleep and exercise.
Sunblock, Sunblock, Sunblock!
water, organic food and a positive attitude.
plastic surgery….
okay that was my snarky side after reading all the positive attitude comments. I am a really big fan of mascara to fix the problem.
My beauty secret is plenty of rest and always wearing makeup with SPF.
sunblock and green tea everyday!!
Vaseline!
I put Vaseline on my lips every night to prevent chapped lips-you wake up with a fully moisturized pout and seems to be miraculously exfoliated!!
If you put a little under a sticky gloss, it doesn’t peel off…..or a little over a matte lipstick for a sex pot feel ; )
I found that having confidence in myself is my most powerful beauty secret! That and petroleum jelly for my eyes. :)
Exercise! My skins never clearer than when I’ve been exercising regularly.
Sunscreen, jojoba oil, “Solar Recover” and lots of sleep, dance and surf for happy glow.
Bring out my natural beauty and dont over do it. Best to look more like me and less like a clown. Plus clowns are really really scary.
tanya@atasteoft.com
Nice giveaway! My beauty secret is a good skincare routine. That can take years off your face, believe me. And I also wear sunscreen daily.
What a lovely giveaway! My beauty secret – white eyeshadow. It makes your eyes look wider and more open!
My secret is not so secret, and are all things I try and do for myself and my skin: exercise, drink lots of water, get plenty of sleep, and be positive.
Thanks for the chance at a great giveaway!
fancy skincare, I need that!
My secrets is rose oil.
i try to sleep as much as I can (with my 6 months old baby), drink a lot of water and eat healthy. Keap a smile on my face whatever happens…:)
SUGAR AS AN EXFOLIATE. GIVES YOU A NICE HEALTHY GLOW!
CONTINUE TO ENJOY THE HECK OUT OF YOUR BLOG VICTORIA.
THANK YOU!!!
I drink lots of water every day, use sunscreen, mineral makeup, and I do not eat meat and try to stay away from dairy!
Sunscreen! Always, always. Plus good eats and plenty of sleep :D
Eye drops and Mederma. Eye drops to zap the redness of a pimple (plus the saline helps dry it up). Mederma to help the spot go away quicker!
Everyday I drink at least 4 500cc “cups” of White Tea, this helps my skin A LOT and I believe it makes me look young and fresh :) Every weekend, I use 2 bags of cold chamomile tea for my eyes, that takes away all the stress of the week!
Dance to express yourself; don’t raise your eyebrows when being told juicy details; drink lots of coffee; use caladryl for pimples; pet an animal every day; latisse for your eyelashes and several coats of mascara; eat lots of fruits and veggies; laugh as much as you can and lie about your age.
Yoga, giant spinach salads and lots of water.
well, I try to keep hydrated, eat healthily, and I wash my face every night before I go to bed so I don’t sleep in my make up (eww). I also have found that avoiding dairy gives me clear skin, so I don’t eat dairy products unless it’s gelato and I’m in Milan or something like that… then who cares about a little pimple?
But I do believe the best beauty secret is just happiness. You can’t fake that, and it gives you inner radiance.
I just realized my email didn’t show up in the post. I’ll just repost it here,
sophieangeline@gmail.com
I make sure to wash with cleanser, use toner and a good lotion, twice a day every day – and SPF during the day, sunny or not, is a must.
I am hoping my new beauty secret will be Sisley! Right now, my only secret is to wash my face as little as possible and hope for the best…
sweat everyday! and lots of laughter.
i suspect you’ll only be posting to US residents – I’m in the UK so don’t pick me!
but am taking this opportunity to share years of experimentation: if you have bad skin, try avoiding sugar. also, no coffee – it makes me super oily, probably because it sucks all the water out of my body. cutting these out has cleared my skin.
also putting epsom salts [magnesium salts] in the bath is great for getting rid of impurities and it’s very relaxing too.
not smoking is very important – if you do, give up now to avoid getting the dog’s arse vertical lines i now have on my cupid’s bow [and i’m only 30!].
standing up straight is good too. i regret years spent crouched over a pc. now having physio to correct premature old-lady posture. do pilates or something to get your core muscles nice and strong.
Hydration. Hydration. Hydration. Both drinking water but also moisturizing my face and my hands with tons of lotion at multiple times during the day. Keeps my skin soft and lovely :)
Antioxidants…like red wine and dark chocolate! Okay, so that’s not my secret, but it sounds tempting, no? I drink lots of water and avoid harsh chemicals found in a lot of products.
As everyone else said, water, sunscreen & exercise are great, but my secret is tee tree oil. A dab on a q-tip on an pimples forming and by morning they are basically gone. That and aquqphor on my lips, heels and elbows (just about) every night. Gotta watch out for hands and elbows to give away your age…
My beauty secret is: less is more! I wear no makeup on a regular basis & only wash my face every other day. I also only use witch hazel (added with a cotton ball) to my face once a day. If my skin gets dry, I used grapeseed oil to add moisture (without aggravating my skin or causing acne).
my secret is Vaseline! I have never purchased makeup remover in my life…I just use the gooey jelly and my mascara comes right off!
Oh how lovely – I’m pretty old-timey with my sleep, exercise, water and sunscreen routine. :)
Rosebud salve, sunscreen, water and Dream Cream for the legs and elbows. A massage never hurts.
This might not be so secret, but one thing I stand for when doing my make-up is clear eyebrow mascara. I will not leave the house without. For me, it gives so much more structure to my face. I don’t use any mascara with color or anything, just a clear coating to get them in place and a little more defined =)
Thanks for the chance to win, Victoria!
water and washing my face every night and morning!
At least 8 hours (9 is best!) of sleep each night, hydration, gentle cleansers (milk-based or sensitive skin sort), and I’ve never used makeup on the daily– only for special occassions!
keep it simple, and enjoy life.
I use this amazing mask Aztec Secret Works Indian Healing Clay. You will love it and it’s so cheap!
Sleep. Sleep makes me happy, happy makes me smile, smiles are beautiful. A little lip gloss from my over flowing supply helps too!
Just splash water on face in the morning. Only wash with soap at night.
my beauty secrets aren’t really secrets. sunscreen, moisturizer, vitamin e, exfoliating, and keeping chemicals to a minimum. That, and I wear my skin like it’s a perfectly tailored, vintage YSL dress. A little confidence is all it takes to look stunning.
I use almond or apricot oil as a makeup remover and let it soak in over night.
My beauty secret is to do an hour of cardio before I go out for the evening. It gives my skin a glow and it makes me feel pretty and healthy.
Every, and I mean, every night i take a leisurely bath in my clawfooted tub. Ahhh!
Good skin- if that looks healthy, you don’t really need to worry about making up the rest- it goes well with every style (natural to expressive and made-up). I’m not blessed with a naturally good complexion- but the few things I’ve learned help (and are oft repeated above): drink plenty of water (a big night out wrecks havoc on my skin) and eat veggies not too much oil, don’t overwash the skin, always use sunscreen and moisturizer (wear your glasses and sunglasses- no squinting), sleep, some coffee- being healthy inside seems to have the greatest effect outside. But I can’t do that all the time. For a pick me up I use some undereye moisturizer with vitamin c or e feel good, and some mineral makeup or lancome foundation depending on the day.
my beauty secret… perfectly arched eyebrows and drinking lots of water!
Lots and lots of water, NO SMOKING, and staying out of the sun. And good genes!
Sunscreen – especially on your face!
Sunlight (with sunscreen) + cardio + cold cream
Slather my hands with lotion, prior to putting on rubber gloves and washing dishes in hot water. It’s a (practical) mini-manicure :)
I keep makeup remover wipes by my bed for those evenings that I fall in between the sheets and can’t bear to face the cold bathroom tiles to wash my face! That way I never go to bed with makeup on.
when i am disciplined: yoga, green tea and good moisturizer.
Clean, moisturize and be careful with the sun.
vaseline for removing eye makeup. it’s a cheap, southern beauty tip!
my beauty secret? probably following my same skincare regime day after day. i think it helps control break-outs! (i love burt’s bees face wash).
a good amount of exercise… healthy, organic food… and plenty of sunscreen. ohh and a bit is mascara is lovely too!

Moisturize like crazy and avoid the sun :)
once a week, i steam, exfoliate, and follow up with a nutrition serum :)
and daily sunscreenage
Lots of water, daily spf and I put olive oil on my ends at night, coil it into a bun and it gives me conditioned, healthy ends! Thanks for the chance to win!
I like to do a steam facial. I just heat up some water and steam my face for 10 minutes or so!
SPF moisturizer every day.
Such nice comments, and a nice giveaway! Lately I’ve found that lots of walking and keeping to a mostly vegan diet has worked wonders.
I use Nivea wash only, for my face. It always feels refreshing.
Love the audrey hepburn – I just recently cut my hair into a chic pixie. she gave the best beauty advice – “For Attractive lips, speak words of kindness, For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people, For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry, For Beautiful hair, let a child run their fingers through it once a day, For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.”
Smile a lot!!!!!
I try to be conscious of when I’m squinting or scowling, and relax my face muscles, especially in traffic. It’s paid off in limiting the wrinkles so far, but doesn’t work on the grey hair!!
lovely classic hollywood glamour!!
My secret, homemade body oil(organic olive oil, grape seed oil, coconut oil, and a little lavender) right after the shower – leaves skin so soft and moisturized all day long.
Mascara! :) I never get enough sleep so eye cream as well.
I drink a lot of water and have been using eye cream since I was 19. (I’m ALOT older now!)
I love Hollywood Glamour! Wish I lived in those years just to sport the look. My secret, is Vaseline. Put some on lips before going to bed and you wake up with amazing baby soft lips. Oh and white eye liner. Simply put white liner in the inner bottom lid of your eye for an instant wakeup – no caffeine needed :)
I quit smoking
I wash my face daily
and
I’m in love with my eyelash curler, its like instant mascara!
eyebrow threading is my secret – i love a sexy brow!!
drinking lots and lots of water is definitely for me!
I drink lots of water, moisturize and lots of sleep.
Nars concealer. And yes, water and a sense of humor!
I’m going to steal a quote from one of the most timeless beauties (also pictured above) Audrey Hepburn. And really, who can argue with her.
” For beautiful eyes: Look for the good in others;
For beautiful lips: Speak only words of kindness;
And for Poise: Walk with the knowledge that you are never Alone”
Thank you Ms Hepburn.
Sleep, tea, and laughter :)
I love cetaphil cleanser–it’s so gently, and doesn’t make me break out the way a lot of other products do.
Sleep does wonder for my skin! as do plenty of vegetables and fruits and a good day cream for very dry skin.
I use an eyeshadow that is close to my natural eyebrow color on my eyebrows. This produces a softer look that an eyebrow pencil.
Thx for the blog!
I have been wanting to try Sisley. I splurged and bought myself the Sisley powder foundation to try last week. I would love to try their skincare products. I’m getting ready to turn the big 40 so I want to be extra good to my skin. I always wash my face and moisturize. Of course sunscreen is key too. The older I get, the more I realize you have to be good to your skin. Using the right products that do not contain chemicals is very important.
Twice a week sit with your head over a bowl of fresh boiled water and a towel over your head (like you might do to clear your head when you have a cold). Stay there for 5 or 10 minutes – this makes your skin sweat which is good for it (and it’s easier than exercising). ;)
my current favourite thing is scrubbing my face with half a lemon and some sugar. yes, it makes my skin soft but the real reason i do it is because IT TASTES DELICIOUS. is that gross? hahahah
My best secret is tea bags kept in aloe vera
juice in the fridge…when my eyes are puffy,
a tea bag on each eye for 5 minutes really
diminshes the bags! So relaxing also!

Lots of sleep and LOTS of water! Always helps!
Great giveaway. My only secret would be keeping away from caffeine and alcohol, both of which makes my skin unhappy. When I’m feeling blotchy, drinking green tea helps clear me up.
This is great!!!
I think being happy and not stressed out is definitely one of the top things that helps people stay health and beautiful!
Plenty of sleep, lots of water, a good moisturizer, and very little make-up—smiling doesn’t hurt either :)
Sweet!
My beauty secret? Exfoliating regularly.
Each an icon. Might add Ingrid Bergman, Iman, or Lucille Ball?
For beauty’s sake, try this. At the close of the day, stand before the basin, run the tap until the water is as warm as you can stand. Holding a clean wash cloth in both hands, fill the cup of your hands with water. Gently wring out the cloth and immediately hold it up to your face. Breathe in the steam, relax your shoulders, let your thoughts drift away, and then with the warm cloth, gently massage your forehead, eyelids, cheeks, nose, and chin. Ahhhh.
If you’re lucky enough to have a trove of fine French face cream, this is the moment to dab on a bit and feel so serene.
some lipgloss, and home-made sugar scrubs do the trick beautifully!
Witch Hazel. A natural cleanser that works better than harsh astringents! Keeps dry patches a bay and is really cheap!
My beauty tip sounds easy, but I think we all sometimes struggle with maintaining it. The icons you posted had it is spades, but likely struggled with it as well at some point. Confidence – simply being comfortable in one’s own skin – may be the life-long secret to beauty.
Couple that with good posture and a genuine smile and you have an icon in the making. Of course, a swipe of mascara, lipstick and some moisturizer will allow you to create your own signature look.
it’s so humid where i live, that my face gets shiny so easily. so i use a powder made from rice.
Secrets? Olive oil for my hair and sometimes body (not in the summer) and Argan oil on my face at night. Cetaphil cleanser is the best!
My beauty secret? It is looking in the mirror and saying “Hello there beautiful” every morning and believing it all day long. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Quitting the cigarettes, increasing the water, and a little stress relieving knitting everyday help too.
exercise and meditation.
Lots of water and sunscreen!
Lots and lots of sleep… and feeling loved helps too!
I smile as often as possible, that way I can blame any wrinkles on laughing and smiling to much ;)
To achieve healthy skin, one must pay close attention to sleep, diet, sunscreen, and water! Whenever we are in play or about doing our business, these four pillars to beauty are essential. What makes it even cooler is how easy it is to watch out for these! Natural, gorgeous skin comes from the the inside. And, the simplest way is to obtain so is from illuminating radiance from the inside out! Good luck, ladies!
i wish my beauty secret was sleep. le sigh.
moisturizer! lotion! lip balm! (honestly, i cannot leave the house without being moisturized. perhaps it’s more of an addiction rather than a secret.)
Water. So much water. Sunscreen (which is right and easy these days as many cosmetic products include it; lotions, foundations, powders galore!). Depending on your skin type, using a weekly mask works wonders. Exfoliation, very light and gentle exfoliation as not to cause redness or damage the skin. Sleep is huge but as many of us know thats not always and option. This is one of the biggest…Drop smoking. You will notice a difference. And lastly, if you’re worried about wrinkles, give acupuncture a try. Amazing!
Sunblock, water, and sleep. Nothing is more beautiful than good health!
I don’t wear too much make-up or mess with my skin much. And I try to avoid touching my face any more than I have to.
I think lots of women skimp or forget about blush, but I think a rosy cheeck is so beautiful.
Beauty secret – be happy. Less wrinkles, less stress and a genuine smile shows your beauty and allows you to see the beauty in others.
vitamin c serum, love and singing out loud as much as possible.
Attitude, gratitude and a smile! That’s all you need! Extras? Plenty of water, fruit and vegetables, plus 7-8 hours of sleep per night! :)
Stay out of the sun! It’s murder on your skin.
My beauty secret: lots of water! and a really good lipbalm!
katch05 at gmail dot com
My beauty secrets: coffee, just enough of my favorite foods, blush, dark chocolate, enough sleep, love, enough water, enough red wine and enough time to read and think
Such beauties! I drink LOTS of water, wash, moisturize, and treat (with anti-wrinkle/anti-brown spot cream) my face every night before bed, and always wear sunscreen and mascara!
drinking a lots of water + sunscreen
Salmon and nuts
