tuesday’s girl: grain & silk.

i heard from Slovakia artist and photographer Katarina Krizanovicova this weekend about a project she’s recently started called Grain & Silk – Short Stories. It originally started as a blog/diary, which after time has grown into a large collection of pictures combined together in a narrative style, some of them accompanied with words. some are diptychs, and some are a selection of pictures from this project available for purchase in her grain & silk Etsy shop.

Katarina is currently working as a portrait photographer, and also collaborates with dancers and various other artists as a portfolio photographer. you can see more of her beautiful work in her etsy shop, online portfolio and her grain & silk blog.

I met Katarina in Susannah Conways’ Unravelling class, and love her photos and have some in my home.. so dreamy
I follow her work long ago and this summer I was lucky to meet her in person.
It is a very special and sensitive soul. Her photos are filled with an atmosphere reminiscent of beautiful moments of the past. And she knows to stop time in a magical way.
Delicate as a silk lace.
I love her work and I recommend their photos of the store. They are beautiful! and they have a great quality.
I could look at these photos over and over again. Which is, in fact, what I’ve been doing.
