There are plenty of times when I can visualize color and size of the spine, but I’ve forgotten the title or author – but the reverse is very seldom true. I also break down which types of books are stored in which rooms in my house!

Not everyone has that kind of visual memory, but for those of us who do, it can be a very meaningful way to keep a sense of order in a large personal library.

and i tried white and light slipcovers. the people that have them must have them in the wash everyday to keep them clean, because i found it impossible! still love the way it looks, though. a girl can dream, right?
