a collection a day, live from san francisco.

this friday, if you’re in san francisco, you just gotta go to the curiosity shoppe’s a collection a day book signing! lisa congdon’s new book a collection a day, published by uppercase is launching this week, and we’ll all be celebrating at the curiosity shoppe friday evening, march 18th from 6 to 9pm.

in january 2010, lisa congdon decided to begin a year long project that she would document publicly on a blog, and so for 365 days straight lisa posted one image each day of one of her many collections, arranged neatly on a white backdrop. The popularity of the project was astounding, gathering tons of followers, and story features including including Martha Stewart Living, NPR, and the San Francisco Chronicle, thus culminating in the publication by uppercase of the entire a collection a day book.

i hope to see you there, but if can’t make the show, you can view the entire collection on lisa’s original blog, and order the book here at uppercase, or pick one up at the curiosity shoppe, where the exhibit will be on display through mid-april. you can flip through the preview above in full size here, and also purchase prints from the book here.
