tuesday’s girl: shona heath.

back when i worked in what i fondly refer to as ad land as an art buyer, i had the unique opportunity to work with set designer and art director shona heath. she created an amazing room for us in which to shoot zoe kravitz and lorraine nicholson for teen vogue. since then, i’ve been following her amazing and fantastical set styling through the pages of british vogue, ad work for lanvin and kate spade, always inspired and a bit in awe of the dream-like scenes she creates. this tuesday’s girl, let’s visit the fantasy world of shona heath.

I absolutely love the big ‘owlhug’ photo & the cherry blossom tree. Amazing!
love how everything seems a little tipped sideways in that first pic…..
ohh, my other obsession is fashion and fashion photography. being a set designer must be the coolest job. will be follwing shona now.
fab set of photos, I’m currently looking for inspiration for my photography course with the theme
mystery and imagination.
particularly like the glitter ball shot with the sparkles of light.
Gorgeous pictures… especially love the smoke.

I’m always so happy to see someone with the same first name.

She’s done some of my favorite editorials! Amazing! I absolutely love her fantasy world!
Such whimsy, the disco balls are amazing…thanks for sharing these.
I think she deserves a profile on Readymade’s “How did you get that f*&%ing awesome job?” feature. These are totally awesome shots! I can only imagine how much fun it must be to create these wonderlands.
Incredibly beautiful and dramatic work.
Tim Walker is at the top of my lists and now his set stylist Shona is as well! Having a Duh moment for not taking a closer look at the credits on some of my inspiration tears – as stylist assistant I should know better!!! We read ALOT of fairy tales in my house so I absolutely LOVE the “thumbelina” image!
So beautiful – that Goldfrapp cover is a favourite of mine
I feel like I just woke up from a series of bizarre/awesome dreams. In other words- coolest thing ever.
I love that photo with the animal silhouettes. I also think I could live in the first room quite happily.
Missed this, brilliant!
This is amazing, so inspirational!
