“it list” the jealous curator.
our “it list” contributor today, probably needs no introductions, since she is a regular (and most fabulous!) guest blogger here on sfgirlbybay, but just in case, please give a very warm welcome to danielle krysa, aka the jealous curator. danielle says this “it list” is simply a fantasy, but i say it’s not that far off from what could become reality. danielle has already curated a few shows, and is well on her way to countless more. not to mention being a talented artist in her own right. without further ado, i give you the jealous curator’s “it list”. i think you’re gonna be jealous.

“bonjour! my “it list” begins in paris. ahh yes, paris in the springtime. i’m there (not really, you just happen to be in the middle of my “it list” fantasy daydream) to curate a show at the georges pompidou center. i’m staying in a lovely apartment over looking the city, with a magnolia tree in full bloom on my terrace (i have always, always wanted a magnolia tree in my garden, so i had to work into this fantasy somehow!).”
“it’s the morning of the opening, and time to get this day started. feet off of the fabulous ball of yarn ottoman, turn off the oh so chic poodle lamp, and head out into the streets of paris. the sky is blue and there’s not a cloud in the sky, so i’m wearing my super cute straw fedora to keep the sun out of my eyes, while i ride my equally cute wood grain cruiser bike over to the gallery (oh boy, this fantasy is getting better with every word i type!). maybe i’ll pick up a cafe au lait enroute – thankfully i’m wearing my stylish wood cuff, which can also be used as a coffee cuff. ahh, voila – at the gallery at last.”

“ i spend the day putting the finishing touches on my show – “girl crush” which features fabulous contemporary women artists from around the world – amazing artists like martha rich, rachel denny, and laura mckellar just to name a few! (wouldn’t that be a great show?! and in paris no less! ok, back to the fantasy). the opening is a huge success, i become the most famous curator ever, and i live a ridiculously fabulous life. the end. (ahh, easily the best day dream i’ve ever had – thanks victoria!).”

I have the same exact wood cuff. I love it.
I have the same exact fantasy! hee hee. I like the name of your personally curated art show. Girl Crush cracks me up. Magnolia’s are the best tree’s. I have never seen one that isn’t “other worldly” perfect.
I want that yarn ball. Love your posts and your art, Danielle. :)
p.s. I like how you have guest appearances on your blog. Other blogs are often about “this is what I bought today” (yawn), and so it is refreshing to follow in the footsteps of an imaginary fantasy! The Jealous Curator is a perfect name!
beautiful! love all her picks, danielle has such a great eye!
