guest post: mrs. lilien.
to start off my holiday week off right, i am most delighted to introduce to you a post by none other than the fabulous mrs. lilien. yes, that mrs. – designer and stylist extradornaire. she’s starting the week off just right…almost as if you’re on holiday with me! cheers, mrs. lilien – thanks so much for filling in for me today!

To keep things fun and cheeky – spruce up your patio with a little tiki! Shame to the name who said a little kitsch wasn’t fun – once you turn that patio into a Lanai, you’ll be doing cartwheels when you’re done! A little goes a long way I dare do say – all you need is smattering of high and low pieces with which to play. Once you’ve got it curated just right – you’ll be downing mai-tai’s and doing the hula alright!

lovely fun and cheeky selection!
Oh I do like a little tiki. I need to spruce up my “lanai”. Cute post!
Love the little mugs :)
Shades of Trader Vic’s. I like collecting those tiki cups. I think I gave them away though.
So cute! Love the kitsch.
Before I moved to Florida from the Northeast, I had chunky, 2′ lit flamingos and palm trees adorning my 3rd floor apartment ‘mini-deck.’ Most people rolled their eyes and – I will admit – they were cheap and somewhat tacky. But hot pink winking at me from under a blanket of snow always made me smile, and isn’t that the point?
I’ve since garage-saled them, but this post lovingly reminded me of my funkier days – thank you!:)
