I love your blog! This post makes me want a hammock bed hanging on a tree desperately. My favorite summer memories would be the 4th of July, which is also my dad’s bday. We always have a huge blow out with fireworks, family and great food. I’m going to totally look into a croquet set for this year :)

Yeah Summer in the yard! Great memories for me, is my sister and I soaking the pavement in our backyard with a hose on a hot summer day and laying straight down on it to feel the heat. (We were both kind of nuts in retrospect!) We loved making mud-pies, collecting live bee’s for fun to show our Mom, and going for hikes with the older girls alongside the creek behind our house where the Ohlone Indians once upon a time inhibited in the Mission San Jose Hills. Looking for and finding arrowheads. Collecting Blackberries at the end of summer and making cobblers. Oops did I lose myself in too many memories. :-)

Great post! For me, favorite backyard memories include my dad’s hammock (which was the “rope” kind, and actually not all that comfy) and our tangerine tree which was perfect for climbing.
