fab friday.
i’m off to europe today, and obnoxiously giddy with excitement! naturally, there’s also the initial freak out – what to pack!? and, i’ve probably shopped a bit too much before i’ve even left the country. oh well, one must do one’s best to look au courant when one is in europe, no? i’ve added a few pieces to my wardrobe, and packed a few of the old favorites. but, i can’t decide what to take and what to leave at home, so i’m gonna do a little round up here to help me decide!

i’m packing a little mod dress, like this one via emersonmade; a zig zag bag from hansel from basel – perfect for the paris farmer’s market and carting my bagettes; me too lysette ballarina flats and Naya Samara Sandal from nordstrom will be super comfy for strolling around; the bobo bags carter tote will be perfecto for carting all my camera gear and laptop; and this muji paris map scarf could come in quite handy!

love these looks, via club monaco and lookbook.nu — i don’t have their super model bodies, but i’m gonna do my best to try pull them off. fake it ’til you make it, right? i’m trying to stick with a theme to keep my bag light – in this case, navy & black!

you simply must wear a scarf in paris, or they’ll probably try and deport you! i’ll be bringing along my navy converse chucks, just for fun. i have oodles of black leggings stuffed in my suitcase, too — ‘pants’ that don’t take up much room! i’ve packed my sundance tunic and my jcrew chambray shirt — both good go-to options with jeans on warm weather days. and a little black dress, of course — dress it up or dress it down over leggings or my favorite ag tomboy jeans. i’m bringing along my striped jcrew hoodie, too. you gotta wear stripes in paris! all right, i think this has helped narrow it down! au revoir, y’all!

Take something to protect from the rain, showers are arriving tomorrow.
This looks like the prefect packing job. Travel safe! Can’t wait to meet up with you.
have a fantastic time!!
I’m jealous, even though I just got back from France!
I’d add in a lightweight trench. We ran into more rain than we expected & having a cute trench makes it easier to keep having fun outside.
Great packing list…i am traveling too, this was helpful! I think I will add an eye mask for the plane…and I have been looking for a bag for my camera, I love yours!
i’ve got a light trenchcoat in there, too! thanks for the tip!
see you soon, gabrielle! :)

You’ll definitely look smashing. Have a blast!
I want to be in Paris ASAP!
As a Berliner, living in London and having been to Paris several times, I think it’s fair to say that you will look lovely wherever you go in Europe ;-)
P.S. Scarves are definitely a must. I think I have about a million!

Those jeans from Anthro are so cute. Love the first outfit. I think tunics over jeans is really classy.
Have fun. Can’t wait to see your photo’s.
All of the shoes you have chosen and any scarf/ves, I would say those are absolute musts! Have a great trip (looking forward to the posts!)

wow! i love everything you show here… so much so that I sent a link to this post to my best girlies so they could get inspired for trips to paris. I’ve always admired your look anyway and this all confirms it. I hope you have an amazing trip!
great packing job (all you need is a beret:-)bon voyage victoria!
May I ask what jeans you are wearing in that first photo? They look great!
Great items. Funny enough, I just got back from Paris a month ago and did a little story on what to pack,

The trickiest part was finding cute shoes comfortable enough to walk everywhere all day (and into the night!). But your folding flats will be handy to take with you and switch if you need to. Looking forward to reading about your trip.
long time reader, first time commenter :-)
this was an awesome post. i’m going to paris in the fall & just copied a few of your finds — have been searching for ages for a bag that works for my camera gear & as a regular bag when i want to leave the cameras at home. thank-you!
Looks like the ideal collection for your trip – somewhere in that bag you’ll want some very comfy shoes – I have never walked so much as when I was in Paris. I assume you are bringing one almost empty bag for all the wonderful things you will bring home, oui?
I am so happy to hear you are going to meet up with Gabrielle – I read the two of you faithfully. Bon Voyage!
hei, if you’re in Milan drop me a line I’ll bring you to 10croso como, the triennale design museum and to Luini (think yoummy fried pizza pickets)
