the alexandra angle.

i love these interiors from designer alexandra angle. they’re modern, but comfortable and inviting, and not too stark. and the color palette is soothing and serene, just like the places some of these homes live – the old hills of los feliz and the beaches in venice. they just seem to fit their environments so perfectly, creating diverse and authentic environments, rarely without a pinch of whimsy. alexandra is a fulltime interior designer based in new york and los angeles, and you can see more of her pretty work here.

I love how she uses greens in most of these rooms. It pulls in the natural light and ease of the outdoors into the room without a million plants.

Thanks so much, Victoria, for the introduction to such a special talent!

PS I’ve got a huge gap on my screen between the side-by-side shots that show a pale pink desk area to the left and a white bedroom with a large branch photo above the bed photo to the right, and the one with the twig bedside table far, FAR “below” – is it just a fluke or am I missing out on at least four photos?!

hmmm, i don’t see that judith. which browser are you viewing it in, and which version?

  13. judith b. says:

Hi again and thanks for getting back to me: my browser is
Safari v. 4.0.2 ! Are there any photos in between the ones mentioned, though?

  14. victoria says:

judith – yes, you are definitely missing some images. i just looked in safari 5.0 and all was fine, so maybe try upgrading to 5.0 and emptying your cache. hopefully that does the trick!

    anyone else missing images?

    thanks!

  15. judith b. says:

    Dear Victoria,
Safari 5.0 did the trick! Thanks so much for your help, I’m so technically deficient…apparently I was the only one missing out!

judith – yay! glad to hear it! it’s good to take those free upgrades when they come up. it usually will fix the glitches. :)
