if you’re going to san francisco: the urban nest.
there’s a sweet little nest in my noe valley neighborhood. one part Parisian flea market, one part haven for pampering yourself, the urban nest is one of my favorite little san francisco shopping secrets, but pssst…i’m gonna let you in on it.
when i’m on the hunt for a unique, personal gift, the urban nest is the shop i’m likely to hit first, not just because it’s a short walk from my house, but because the urban nest is full of those fun little luxuries you rarely buy for yourself, but really want to! but, in fact, i’ve indulged myself here too many times. i own the world’s softest robe, and i got it here — once i touched it there was no turning back. from lovely smelling soaps and candles, pretty hand-blown glasses and porcelain cups, cards, ribbon, mobiles and lots of cute kids wear, too, i think you’d really like a visit to the urban nest. and if you can’t make it in person, you can shop online as well!

i’m visiting this fall – my husband is attending a conference & i hope to explore the city a bit. i’ll have my 5 yo son with me, but maybe i can convince my husband to watch him for a bit so i can get some pretty things to bring home from the shop … AND see how soft that robe really is! thanks for the tip :)

I was in SF and Oakland this past week. I didn’t make it to the urban nest, BUT I asked my brother and his wife to take me to Bi-Rite (that you posted about last week) and IT WAS CRAZY DELICIOUSSS!!!!!
i used to live by this shop and would frequent it often becoming friends with the clerk and her dog. most enchanting shop all year round.

warning about the urban nest. I just moved away from SF but I will be back. hahah best city on earth. anyway, I saw this post and ordered a chocolate chenille robe over a month ago. I still have not received it despite them charging my pay pal account within days. I keep emailing them and calling and nothing. can you help me out? this is the worst I have ever ever experienced with online shopping. I am in Iowa so I cant just go down there. So I am so stuck.
Plus they charged me 20 something bucks shipping and I still havent got it.
I would appreciate any help .
