fab friday.

i’ve been thinking a lot about changing up my artwork lately, and i really love the idea of some large format photography. i really like the look of just one big bold statement piece to keep things simple, and yet create a dramatic effect. this fab friday, i’m rounding up some large format print ideas!

Motel Bien Venido by Walker Pickering via 20×200; orange flowers print from debbie carlos; and two great examples of large format prints used to add pop from lonny magazine; and a large Accordion in California Poppy Field fabric wall cling from half a second.

gorgeous bedroom via andreas kuefer; sharon montrose’s baby giraffe; two pillowcases print by bonnie jones; large print looks great farming turquoise settee via lonny magazine; Balloons (Midtown, Manhattan) by Youngna Park from 20×200; and one last really great bedroom via lonny magazine.

i am a fan of giant art! we have 4 foot by 4 foot black and white photograph in our bedroom. it makes a huge statement. my only bit of advice is to spend on the frame. when you have something that large in a cheap ikea frame it looks REALLY cheap.
Gorgeous everything…I love that small Lama rug. Have a beautiful weekend!
I so totally agree. I love big, dramatic photographs.

I like the big art, but I really like the lamps (particularly the lamp shades) in the top photo.
Check out tiptopgallery.com for some large (40″X50″) prints.
Oh my goodness…my future kids WILL have hipster photos of themselves above their beds! So cute!
i really like that llama rug! I also love big prints of photos – love those poppys!
I love large format photography too! I started this year with a few 12 x 18 Polaroid enlargements, but I want to go bigger.
raya – are you selling your large prints? i’d love to see them!
