sunday in the city.

even though it’s a holiday weekend, it’s been a busy one, ‘cuz i’m getting ready to speak at the altitude design summit this week! but, lucy and i were able to get out for a bit and clear our heads. a trip to fort funston on saturday — our regular weekend beach hang out, and then a great urban hike through the neighborhood to kite hill on what turned out to be a very chilly sunday in the city.

so, this is what my weekend has looked like so far, via instagram. today is a martin luther king day, so i’ll see you back here tomorrow for regular scheduled programming. oh, and if you’re wondering what that green concoction is just below, the folks at blueprint cleanse gave me a discount to try it out, and it was actually quite tasty. i felt really good and energized afterward, too, since after the new year i felt fairly toxic! see you tuesday, bright eyed and bushy tailed. whatever that means.

Is this a real blog site? Looks too perfect…I miss San Francisco. Grew up in L.A. and am now in Louisville, KY. It is beautiful here, but you can’t help missing the coast, especially SF.

  17. mary in Louisville says:

Okay, just dropped my son off at school. Now they are flashing a tornado warning just over the river in IN.
For pete’s sake, we just had snow on Sat. I’m telling you, the excitement never ends in KY.

Ok, Im sitting in my kitchen. Almost finished writing a press release. My dogs, Sam & Wilma, start whining. The weather alert is going off upstairs. I turn up the volume on my kitch tv, the tornado warning is real. I’m supposed to be in the basement (shelter) now. All the city alarms are going off. All I can think of is my son at school. Is he safe? I’m sure he is. I sure he’s probably happy to be out of class. Thunder. Huge thunder now. Rain is flying sideways. Kind of a whiteout when I look out the windows. San Fran looks really good right now…

How I wish I was going to Alt! I would love to hear you and some of my other favorite bloggers speak, and meet a boatload of others. Have a wonderful time!

I might be the only person I know not reading that Murakami book right now. My husband has almost finished it!
