san francisco-based modern shop Zinc Details is hosting a fun, free “movie night” screening of the new documentary, “Eames: The Architect and the Painter,” tomorrow evening, Wednesday, January 25 from 6 to 9 pm. Wasn’t that documentary captivating? I love that they were just artists and makers instead of Just furniture designers or Just filmmakers. I was especially fascinated with Ray’s office.
I really enjoyed watching this doc. Wish I could get out to your coast to join in this fabulous evening! :)
It was an amazing doc! Loved the tv interview in the 1950’s where the interviewer wanted to make Ray seem like an assistant and Charles kept trying to explain that she was an equal partner in the biz and a creative peer.
You can tour their LA house – I’ll be there in April!
