tuesday’s girl: modernism.

the february issue of Harper’s Bazaar features model Bette Franke photographed beautifully in palm springs by Lachlan Bailey. i couldn’t help but be reminded that this Palm Springs location will host its annual Modernism Week this february 16 – 26th. modernism week is an eleven-day celebration of mid-century modern design, architecture, and culture in Palm Springs, California. if you’ve never been, i highly recommend a visit — pop into the ace hotel and take one of the tours of these racquet club estate mid-century modern homes. plus, it’s warm down there this time of year!

Very Cool. Great fashion spread. Palm Springs is a trip as in “surreal backdrop!” A ton of history as well. Anyone visiting- if you want a good Burger go to Woody’s at the end of the strip going North. My nephews took an old Greyhound station, (very small) and made it into a Burger joint last year. They cook awesome sliders..
I knew this had to be palm springs as soon as I saw that first shot! Amazing shoot and brilliant location. Totally going up there for that event! Thanks for posting.
