fab friday.

even though, the season has sadly ended, i think i’ve still got downton abbey on the brain. i felt the need to get all floral this fab friday. you know, the pretty cabbage rose prints — they just scream english countryside, and i love them when they’re kind of camped up a bit and pushed to the extreme. i suppose it would be a bit like as if betsey johnson collided with the queen mum.

1. love this vintage-inspired graham & green rose on cream area rug; 2. there’s nothing like fresh flowers bursting forth from the mantel, right? — via photographer craig wall, via desire to inspire; 3. the designers guild amrapali wallpaper collection is really lovely; 4. i love craig wall’s photograph of this patchwork wallpaper too, as styled by marie nichols — what a great diy project that would be!; 5. no post on cabbage rose prints would be complete without a little something from cath kidston — like these royal rose teatowels; 6. and finally, i quite like this Romantic Floral Scarf Duvet from urban outfitters. so pretty!

  1. I love all of the cabbage rose prints- they remind me of my Grandma’s house when I was growing up. I love the fact that the colour palettes used now have really given them a fresh update.

Love the dress and the tea towels! Great to see these florals in such bold colors. I may need to watch some Downton Abbey episodes again for a style fix. Good thing Mad Men is starting next month. :)

A floral garden in my house without upkeep? YES PLEASE. Also have you seen the floral pants hitting the stores this spring? These buds are having a big moment.
