the view from here this week.

1. okay, hello! this is pretty adorable. screen doors are not usually this cute but freelance artist Abbey Hendrickson of aesthetic outburst embroidered her screen door for the summer! so great, right?

2. appropriately, this photograph is called Berlin #2, by Matthias Heiderich on carte blanche. Matthias Heiderich’s minimalist, neon-colored Berlin landscapes make urban industrial zones look more like fun zones. i love the color.

3. oh these photographs! i could have spent a lot more time here on fashion photographer raymond meier’s site, perusing his most prolific portfolios. please go look. i beg of you.

4. i love these pieces of reclaimed furniture that Soojin Kang of Seoul, Korea has reupholstered (by hand) with scraps of leather. soojin has hand crafted her own furniture inspired by traditional crafts and antique raw materials as her own personal fight against consumerism. beautiful and so tactile, via art hound.

5. what does the bear say? hmmm, perhaps he’s speaking french! could very well be, because it’s been designed by hello marine, a French illustrator living in brighton, england. ouĂ! love it! check out her etsy shop, too.
