tuesday’s girl: gotta get away
spring break takes me back to my teenage days in palm springs. we went every year with my family, and i got to bring a friend. we’d stay at the tropicana motel – no great shakes, but i was happy. a little shuffleboard, a big swimming pool with a diving board. dr. pepper with wheat thins and that port wine cheese that came in a plastic tub for lunch. those were the days. i loved dressing for those super hot days, so i thought i’d round up a few looks that i think would definitely walk the walk in downtown palm springs. a little yellow sundress. check. an adorable striped clutch, check. what next? spf 45, anyone?
how about a mix of pattern and stripes? i can just picture sun bathing by a beautiful swimming pool (via the design files); i like the flowy comfort of this pretty emerson fry orange tie waist dress; add some splashes of turquoise, like these DV by Dolce Vita turquoise sandals and j.crew turquoise bangles; change things up easily with ASOS’ LADYBUG Toe Cap Neon Ballet Shoes and heidi merrick’s tommy shirt. finally, travel light with kate spade’s adorable polka-dotted cosmetic case. let’s get on the road!

Love your memories! The collection you picked is so cheerful. Spring is nice. The Emerson fry is a classic- and reminiscent of Tent dress’s!.. I miss my two piece with the baby-doll apron attached to the bikini top. Remember those!?
