luxe pins.

i love design, and i especially love the craft of it. it doesn’t matter if it’s pixels or paper i’m interested in it all and it inspires me every day; this week i thought i’d share some of my recent inspirations that i’ve been collecting on pinterest.
clothing labels from barnaby black (no. 1), chalkboard lettering by dana tanamachi (no. 2), cafe branding concept by tim wilden (no. 3), wedding invitations by j. kenneth rothermich (no. 4), the rose by british clothing shop uk style (no. 5), and design studio branding for motherbird (no. 6).
what are you inspired by?

These are fantastic pins. I’m also inspired by design – my dad is an engineer, my mom is an artist and I married a designer. Go figure! :-)
I really like when companies put the time and effort into designing aesthetically-pleasing clothing labels. They make me want to buy a piece more when I know there was thought put into the whole product.
I love the typography in all of these. Each for different reasons. I have always been drawn to hand lettered type and I’m a huge fan of Dana’s work.
I love fonts too. My father was a commercial artist and could draw every font imaginable with just his eye and hand. And I’m with Jacqueline- if a piece of clothing is cute and the label is not- I seriously will put it back. I scored some old 1940′s clothing labels at a flea market once. A lot of work went into each of them..
Very awesome. I like the botanical drawing of the rose.
Love the pics and what you have done.
