love to learn!

hey guys! i’ve been a little disconnected this past week, having been down in los angeles, and really only checking in via instagram. but i’m happy to be back home in san francisco, sharing a little bit with you about what i was able to happily glean from our workshops. i had a blast at feet first + blogshop, and learned a whole lot about photography and some amazing photoshop shortcuts. we learned a ton about working with natural light, and composition and i took a few photos of our time there, practicing my new skills. i can’t wait to get out and shoot some more!

fun! i am OBSESSED with that kate spade bag!!! lucky girl. :-)

When will you be teaching some of your own workshops? Would love to take a class from you!
thanks kira! i’ve been thinking about it, and we’re working on opening a workshop in san francisco, so probably later this year!
Victoria-
You have an amazing eye. I was there and around all of the same things, and my photos aren’t nearly as fun to look at. I have SOOOO much to learn still. I want to join whatever you are teaching. Count me in ! Teri
thanks, teri. i think i just have a quirky eye! it was great to meet you, and to hang out!
Isn’t it fun/fulfilling to keep learning and getting better at what you love? Your photography is aleady so lovely–I look forward to seeing your new shoots and pics.
victoria, this is great! i love your eye on things and your use of gradients :)
it was so nice to meet you in person! i’ve been such an invisible fan for so long, this was a super great treat for me.. drooling over you from afar (I swear I’m not this creepy!)
i kid!
thanks jenny! it was so great to meet you, too! :)
gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!!
And I hope you don’t mind but i have a question – how did you take that photo of the guy with the camera slung of his shoulder? It looks like a painting! Is it an effect in photoshop? overexposing when you take it…?…hope you can answer me would love to learn from you but understand if it’s some complex ‘you had to be there’ thing.
Anyway please keep the photos coming!
thanks, nat! i did overexpose it when i shot it. i do that a lot, actually because i like the look. i also brightened it in photoshop to blow out the background a bit! :)
