oh, and happy, happy friday.

i picked up these sweet babies at the local market the other day without looking at the price. then when i looked later, i gasped. pricey little pieces of fruit. so i photographed them for posterity — making them last just a little longer on the interwebs to get my money’s worth. happy friday everyone. may your fruit be less costly.

Ha! Last weekend I wanted to buy some cherimoya at the farmer’s market… but when I asked how much it’d be, they said $18. After having done all of my other shopping I didn’t even have enough cash to buy it!
haha, they look very tasty & valuable
pricey..yes, but they are so good!
Haha. Hope they taste as good as they look!
Lovely! And I will help you amortize the cost per cherry by posting them on Pinterest. (I hope it’s okay)
oh yes – amortize away! :)
This post made me smile, Victoria!
Gorgeous shot too.

Pricey, but perfect. I am loving the onset of winter in Australia, but oh I DO long for summertime fruit.
Delicious and actually I still havent tasted them this spring.
i LOVE those cherries! they really are pricey, though, aren’t they?! have a great weekend, victoria!
My mama always buys these and I usually devour them and then yesterday while out at the market I think I actually gasped “good lordy” out loud when I saw their price. I’ll cherish these juicy little morsels even more now!
I was just recommended your blog by Liselore Stuut, after Meettheblogger in Amsterdam. So I just had to check in and say hi. Love what I have seen so far. Keep up the good work!
Kind regards

My husband came home from the farmer’s market last weekend, and i was worried about how much he paid for them, this post leans heavily towards confirming my suspicions.
I ate a whole bowl of these yesterday and when I was at whole foods buying them I didn’t look at the price…now I’m curious. Hope you’re having a fabulous weekend!
For some reason I can always justify expensive produce. Maybe because it is good for me? I hope they were as delicious as the look.
oh gosh, fruit is so expensive here too. i think i’d be willing to shell out a few pennies for those beauties though! hope they taste as good as they look :)
Haha! The exact same thing happened to me the other day too! Distracted by the color and the thought of eating them, I failed to notice the price. Hope yours tasted as good as mine did!
We just moved from Hamburg, Germany to San Francisco and we like this city much, but it seems that foods are pretty pricey here. We are buying our food at Trader Joes, Whole Foods and Safeway, are there any other we haven’t discovered yet?
And Victoria, I love your Blog! I read tons of posts and picked some food and shopping places I want to go to.
Thanks! :)
welcome, ana!
i would try going to the Alemany Farmer’s Market on Saturdays – inexpensive and a huge variety.
