the new bohemians.

i’m back with another edition of the new bohemians. this time, i was inspired by the idea of something with a little bit of a mod twist. i love the idea of taking unexpected vintage pieces — like this very beautiful black dinette set by peter kragballe photography paired with amazing modern artwork from dawn gardner and a very mid-century modern stool a la bertoia. mixing madness, that’s what i like. it all works when you get it right.

amazing mid-century modern and very mod room, from vitra house.

nothing like a prehistoric looking plant to say funky bohemian modern, via fem.

love these bold stripes paired with a more classical chair and the modern credenze – so unexpected! via design*sponge.

lovely spared down mix of industrial vintage and mid-century modern, via architectural digest.

beautiful living room photographed by sharyn cairns; terrariums are nice addition to an eclectic look, via lily; great blue lounge chair by lerkenfeldt photography; and another great print by artist dawn gardner.

amazing set of mid-century modern chairs from The Old Cinema, via living etc.

• top images: beautiful black dinette set by peter kragballe photography; amazing artwork from dawn gardner; and pop-up fish posters from bijzondermooi.
